To join the AKRI listserv

Send an e-mail to: listserv@list.uvm.edu and include the subscribe command as the first line of your message along with the list name and your first and last name.

Some examples:

sub akri Henry Somebody
sub akri Joan A. R. Person
sub akri Tom Lee III

Once you are subscribed, you may send a message to everyone on the list by sending e-mail to: akri@list.uvm.edu

To leave the AKRI listserv

Send an e-mail to: listserv@list.uvm.edu and use the signoff command or unsubscribe command as the first line of your message with the list name. You do not need to include your name in the command.

Some examples:

signoff akri
unsub akri

To view list archives, use these commands:

• index akri (to see what files are available)
• get akri log9705 (e.g. to get the 1997 May monthly file)
• search meeting in akri (e.g. to find all the messages with the word "meeting")
• get post akri 2 4 6-9 (e.g. get the messages found to contain "meeting")

Also, be sure to turn off automatic signature generation in your mailbox. Listserv won't understand your signature lines and will give error messages.

We recommend that you do not use read receipt or auto-reply features, as these are not understood by Listserv.
